
Peach and Nut Bread Pudding
Description
The recipe won't take much time. A light fruit pudding with rum flavor is a delicious holiday dessert. Instead of peaches, you can use nectarines. Serve chilled.

1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees. Cut the peaches into small cubes. Break the eggs into a bowl. Lightly beat them, then add the butter, vanilla extract, and milk (or milk mixed with cream in equal parts).

2. Slowly add the sugar, stirring constantly until it is completely dissolved.

3. Add peaches and bread cubes, gently mix everything together. Carefully press the bread cubes down so they are evenly soaked in the mixture, and let stand for 30 minutes.

4. Pour the prepared mixture into a baking dish. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top. Bake the pudding in a preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, until golden brown.

5. While the pudding is cooking, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan, mix butter, sugar, vanilla extract, egg, and rum. Cook over low heat, whisking constantly, until the sugar dissolves and the sauce becomes smooth. This will take approximately 5 minutes.

6. Check the pudding for doneness with a knife – it should come out clean.
