
Garlic breadsticks

Prepare the necessary ingredients. Sift the flour and melt the butter.

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let sit for 10–15 minutes until a foamy layer forms on top. Add the activated yeast, melted butter (45 g), salt to the flour and knead a soft dough. Place the dough into a bowl greased with oil, cover with plastic wrap. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1.5 hours, or until doubled in volume.

The dough looks like this after 1.5 hours.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle measuring 18x30 cm. Cut it into 11 strips.

Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Place the strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with a cotton cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 15 minutes. Then brush with melted butter and sprinkle with dried garlic and salt.

Strips can also be twisted into a light rope like this.

Bake the breadsticks for 15 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
