
Bread and berry pudding
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You can use white or rye bread for the pudding, or even combine several types. Fresh or frozen berries will work, either mixed or of a single kind. Serve the finished pudding after it has cooled down. This dessert is suitable for an ordinary day or as a tea-time treat after a festive lunch. Serve chilled.

1. Cut white bread into 1 cm cubes to make about 5 cups. Place on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 8–10 minutes. Transfer the toasted bread to a baking dish.

2. Mix the milk, heavy cream, and sugar, place over heat, and cook until the sugar dissolves. In a separate container, mix the eggs, egg yolks, and salt. Pour one glass of the milk mixture into the egg mixture and stir. Then slowly pour everything back into the saucepan with the main milk mixture. Pour the prepared custard over the bread in the baking dish and let it sit for 5 minutes.

3. Gently press down on the bread so that each piece is submerged into the cream. Sprinkle everything with chocolate chips.

4. Add a berry mix of your favorite fruits. Place the dish in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes.

5. Remove the finished pudding from the oven and let it cool slightly, then cut into pieces and serve.
