
Spiral bread
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you love bread, be sure to make this spiral bread—it's very beautiful and incredibly aromatic! Thanks to the spices and butter, this bread resembles Provençal baked goods. Because of its shape, the bread looks stunning not only on the outside but also when sliced, making it a perfect choice for a festive table. You can add other spices, such as Italian herbs, for a richer flavor. Serve with tea or coffee.

1. Dissolve compressed yeast and salt in warm water. Add corn and wheat flour. Knead the dough for five minutes. Add olive oil and knead again thoroughly.

2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour. Mix the remaining olive oil with Provence herbs and dried garlic. Roll out the dough into a 1 cm thick layer and brush it with the oil mixture.

3. Cut into 4 cm thick strips and arrange on a baking sheet in a spiral shape, but not too tightly. Cover the bread with a towel and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

4. Brush the bread with the remaining butter, sprinkle with coarse sea salt, and place in a preheated oven at 250 degrees. Reduce the temperature to 200 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.
