
Bread with cheese and guava
Description

1. Beat 1 egg with 2 tablespoons of water. In a large bowl, mix the yeast, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 cup of warm water. Let stand in a warm place until the yeast begins to bubble.

2. Beat the eggs into a foam. Add the eggs, remaining sugar, salt, and melted lard to the yeast mixture.

3. Gradually add flour to the resulting mixture and beat with a mixer. Continue beating the dough for 3-5 minutes.

4. Grease a large bowl with butter and place the dough in it, then turn the dough over so that the greased side is on top. Cover with a clean, damp towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until the dough doubles in volume.

5. Place the dough on a work surface. Divide the dough into two equal parts. Roll out each part on a lightly floured surface to form two loaves about 20 cm long and 7.5 cm wide. Make a cut in the center of each loaf. Place the loaves on a lightly greased baking sheet. Cover with a clean, damp towel. Let rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until the loaves have doubled in volume.

6. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. 20 minutes before baking begins, use an electric mixer to beat cream cheese, sugar, butter, and cornstarch in a large bowl. Add eggs one at a time, and coconut milk, continuing to beat.

7. Place the guava in a food processor and blend until smooth, forming a purée.

8. Brush the bread with beaten egg. Fill the slit with the cream filling, then with guava purée. Bake until golden brown, 30 to 35 minutes.
