Description

The pastries are prepared simply and quickly. When choosing aromatic herbs, I preferred dill. You can take any herbs you like. Also use not only sesame, but ordinary sesame seeds as well. Get creative

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

    Prepare the necessary ingredients.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Pour warm milk into a bowl, add salt, sugar, and yeast. Stir.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

    Add sifted flour.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Begin kneading with a spoon. Add vegetable oil and knead by hand. The dough should come together into a neat ball.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a bowl greased with vegetable oil. Make a cross-shaped cut on top, cover with plastic wrap, then drape with a towel. Put the bowl of dough in a warm place for 2 hours.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

After the allotted time has passed, the dough will have risen noticeably. Punch it down (knockback). It is ready to divide and shape.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Divide the dough into 16–18 pieces.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Flatten each piece into a thin round about 8–9 cm in diameter.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Melt 100 grams of butter. Add sesame and finely chopped dill to it. Mix.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Dip each flatbread into melted butter mixed with dill. Shake off excess butter lightly.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

Take a rectangular baking dish. Grease it with a thin layer of butter. Lay each flatbread overlapping, in two rows. When the dish is full, press the top lightly with your palm so the future loaf has an even surface. Cover the dish with a towel and leave for 20 minutes. During that time, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. After 20 minutes, bake the bread for 30–35 minutes.

  12. 12

    Step 12

    Step 12

Cool the finished bread for 15 minutes, then carefully remove from the pan. Cover with a towel and let cool completely.

  13. 13

    Step 13

    Step 13

The scalded-milk bread is ready to serve. Do not cut it with a knife—tear off pieces instead. It works very well for sandwiches.
