Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients for the dough.
- 2
Step 2

Dissolve the yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in warm milk, then place in a warm spot for 15 minutes until a foamy layer forms on top. Melt the butter. Sift the flour into a deep bowl and add the remaining sugar.
- 3
Step 3

Pour the risen yeast, melted butter, and eggs into the flour. Knead until you get a soft dough. Knead the dough for at least 10 minutes. Place the dough into a bowl lightly greased with oil, cover, and set in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.

Step 4

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Lightly toast the nuts in a dry skillet and remove them from the husks.
- 5
Step 5

Chop the nuts into coarse crumbs. To do this, I simply roll over them a few times with a rolling pin. Mix the sugar with cinnamon.
- 6
Step 6

After an hour, the dough has risen well and doubled in size.
- 7
Step 7

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Press down the dough and roll it out into a rectangular sheet (approximately 30x50 cm). Brush the dough with softened butter. Evenly spread cinnamon sugar and nut crumbs over the dough.
- 8
Step 8

Cut the dough into 6 equal strips, then into equal squares.
- 9
Step 9

Place the prepared pieces one by one into a rectangular baking dish. Hold the dish vertically while doing so.
- 10
Step 10

Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 40–45 minutes. Then let the pie cool slightly in the pan, followed by cooling on a wire rack.

Step 11

Ready. Serve at the table.
