1. First, defrost the fish, remove the skin and any excess parts. Squeeze juice from half a lemon over the fish, sprinkle with fish spices and salt. Let it marinate.

2. Peel the onion and potatoes. Cut the onion into half-rings and the potatoes into slices.

3. Lightly sauté the onion in olive oil together with garlic pressed through a garlic press.

4. When the onion becomes slightly soft, add the potatoes, bay leaf, salt, and red pepper. Pour in water to cover the vegetables, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

5. After five minutes, add the string beans and simmer for another 5 minutes, covered.
