Hanum in a multicooker
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Hanum is a dish from Uzbek cuisine, essentially a dumpling dough roll with filling, cooked by steaming. There are many variations for the filling, so feel free to experiment. Today, we'll prepare the simplest, yet delicious version—a roll with a filling of minced meat and onion. You can use any type of minced meat, but I recommend using plenty of onion, as it adds juiciness. Hanum is especially tasty served with sour cream, adjika, fresh vegetables, and herbs. This dish is suitable for both everyday and festive tables. Serve the finished dish immediately.

Gradually add the flour in parts. First mix the dough with a spoon, then continue with your hands. The amount of flour needed may be slightly more or less than specified in the recipe.

The finished dough should be firm and elastic; gather it into a ball, cover with a towel, and let it rest for 20–30 minutes.

For the filling, combine the minced meat and finely chopped onion. Add salt, ground pepper, and your favorite spices to taste. Add a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil and mix well.
