Description

The recipe won't take much time. You can prepare halva at home, and it will turn out much tastier than store-bought. You won't need much time or skills for this. To find out, serve chilled.

    Take raw hazelnuts and wash them. Place them on paper towels. Then heat a dry skillet on the stove and put the nuts on its surface. Reduce the heat and roast the hazelnuts for about five minutes, stirring constantly. Let the nuts cool, then rub them in a towel to remove the skins.

    Heat the pan again and pour the hulled sunflower seeds into it. Fry them in the pan until they are thoroughly heated.

    Transfer the roasted hazelnuts and still-hot sunflower seeds into the blender container. Blend the ingredients at maximum power until they turn into a smooth paste.

    Sift the flour through a sieve. In a clean, dry skillet, toast the flour over low heat until slightly golden. Transfer the flour to a bowl and add the crushed seeds and nuts.

    Pour water into a saucepan and place it on the stove. Heat the liquid over low heat, then add sugar and stir until dissolved. Pour vegetable oil into the syrup and turn off the heat. Pour the resulting syrup over the flour, nuts, and seeds, and mix well.

    Take any suitable container in which your halva will set. Line it with plastic wrap and pour in the resulting mixture. Cover the top with another layer of plastic wrap and place the halva in the refrigerator to fully set.
