
Semolina Halva

The recipe won't take much time. There's nothing complicated about making semolina halva. You could say this dish is simply an unconventional way of preparing semolina porridge. After all, not everyone loves semolina cooked in milk! Semolina halva is a healthy dish, perfect for a nutritious breakfast. Children who love tasty treats will especially enjoy this treat. Heat two tablespoons of butter in a frying pan. Fry chopped nuts and raisins in the butter. Place the cooked nuts and raisins on a plate.

Then, melt another spoonful of butter in a skillet and fry the semolina in it. The semolina should be fried for several minutes until the characteristic smell of semolina appears.

In a saucepan, bring to a boil two cups of water with one cup of sugar. Into the resulting sugar syrup (for color), you can add orange food coloring or a little cinnamon.

Then add the toasted semolina and the remaining butter to the boiling sugar syrup. Cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.

Add the fried raisins and nuts to the prepared halva. Mix well, and the halva is ready. You can eat it both warm and cold!
