
Sesame Halva
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This simple sesame halva is easy to prepare in a home kitchen. The halva turns out exactly the way you like it: it can be more crumbly, soft, or even more liquid—it all depends on your preferences, after all, you're making it by hand. You can add pieces of fruit or nuts to this halva, replace sugar with honey, or add coconut flakes or cocoa. Serve chilled.

1. Toast the sesame seeds in a hot skillet, stirring constantly. Transfer them to a blender jar. In the same skillet, toast the wheat flour.

2. Pour a little milk into a saucepan, add sugar. Stir. Bring to a boil. Cook the syrup. Reduce heat to minimum. Cook, stirring, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat.

3. In a separate container, combine the fried flour and ground sesame. Add a little vegetable oil. Mix. Slowly pour in the warm syrup in a thin stream, stirring constantly.

4. Mix the entire mixture thoroughly until completely uniform. Choose the desired consistency (softer or drier). Adjust it using roasted flour and milk syrup.

5. Line a food container with parchment paper and transfer the halva into it. Press the mixture down firmly with your hands. Leave it to dry and cool. Now that you know how to make sesame halva, cut it into pieces and serve with tea or milk.
