
Cheese and ham khachapuri
Description
Khachapuri come in many varieties: closed or open, vegetarian or not. I prefer making them with sulguni cheese rather than feta. By the way, for preparing khachapuri with ham and cheese, you can use ready-made puff pastry (whether yeast-based or not is up to you). Cilantro and parsley will add a unique aroma. Prepare the ingredients.

Cut the ham into cubes and fry with onion and herbs.

Remove from heat, add grated cheese and spices.

Roll out the dough, cut into squares, make slits (this will result in open-style khachapuri). Place the filling.

Shape into little envelopes, place on parchment paper or a greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

The pastries should be golden brown. Serve the ready ham and cheese khachapuri with sour cream.
