Khachapuri from lavash with cottage cheese

Description

The recipe will not take much time. Soft khachapuri with a delicate curd cheese filling will please the taste even of children. If they do not like savoury baked goods, add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar or icing sugar to the filling instead of salt. You can take khachapuri on the go, to work, or to school. Serve cool or slightly warm.

    Prepare the ingredients listed. If you like, you can even skip adding a chicken egg to the filling.

    Place cottage cheese of any fat content into a deep bowl and sprinkle in salt. Crack one small chicken egg into the same bowl and thoroughly mix the entire filling. At this stage you may add herbs.

    Place 1–1.5 tbsp of the cottage cheese filling in the center of round lavash or along the edge of square lavash.

    Carefully fold the edges of the lavash so the filling cannot leak out while frying. Then roll it into a roll or fold it into a rectangle.

    Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and reduce the heat to moderate. Do not fry khachapuri over high heat, as the filling inside will not cook through. Place the shaped dough on the pan and fry for about 1–2 minutes until golden brown.

    Then flip them over and fry for the same length of time. Prepare the remaining khachapuri in the same way.
