Thick Sea Buckthorn Jam
Description
Homemade preserves keep for a long time. I wanted to make thick sea buckthorn jam at home and found a simple recipe. With it the berries are cooked with the pits in, and the jam turns out very tasty. I recommend everyone try making this treat using this recipe and treat their loved ones to it. Store in a cool, dark place.

Step 1

1. This is what sea buckthorn looks like before picking. This miraculous berry can boast its health benefits and amazing flavor. I’ll show you how to make thick sea buckthorn jam at home.

Step 2

2. Pick the berries, rinse them thoroughly, and leave them in a colander to drain. Meanwhile, put a pot of boiling water on the stove. When all excess liquid has drained away, wait for the water to boil. Then lower the berries, still in the colander, into the water so that it covers them (I usually use a wide container for the boiling water).

Step 3

3. After simmering the berries for about 20 minutes, remove them from the heat and let them cool; add 0.5 kg of sugar to the water and simmer the syrup for about another 15 minutes over low heat.
