
Goose stewed with sauerkraut
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. The recipe is very simple. The only things you'll need are time and meat from a young goose. You can use any dried fruits; in this recipe, prunes and figs were used. Optionally, you can add walnuts. Have a delicious holiday! The finished dish can be served at the table.

1. Wash the goose, cut it into large pieces, season the pieces with spices to taste, and let them sit for 30 minutes.

2. Melt a piece of goose fat. Sear the meat over high heat in this fat, pressing the pieces down onto the pan so a crust forms and essentially seals in the meat's juices.

3. Place sauerkraut, dried fruits, and chopped onion into a large pot or cauldron. Add the fried goose pieces, pour in the broth, add spices, and cover with a lid. Put the pot on the stove and simmer over low heat for 2 hours.
