Description
The recipe won't take much time. Goulash is both a first and a second course in one dish :) Simply put, goulash is a thick, hearty soup with plenty of meat and vegetables. Here's a recipe for baking goulash in pots in the oven. This cooking and serving method is very convenient. You can prepare all the ingredients in advance and place them in the pots. Then all you'll need to do is put the pots in the oven and turn it on at your preferred time. Good luck and enjoy your delicious meal! Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Cut the meat into small pieces and fry in vegetable oil until a light golden crust forms. If you're using fatty pork, you'll need less oil, as the fat will render out from the meat during cooking.
- 2
Step 2

When the meat is browned enough, add a little water, cover, and simmer until almost cooked. Then season with salt and ground pepper to taste.
- 3
Step 3

Peel the carrots and cut into medium-sized sticks or cubes.
- 4
Step 4

Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings.
- 5
Step 5

Sauté carrots and onions in vegetable oil, then add diced bell pepper. If you don't have fresh pepper, you can use dried pepper in pieces.
- 6
Step 6

Peel the tomatoes and cut them into small cubes, add to the meat and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Then add the sautéed vegetables to the meat, along with sour cream and spices. Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

We'll be making goulash with dumplings, and now is the perfect time to prepare them. For the dough, mix eggs, a pinch of salt, and flour.
- 8
Step 8

Stir the batter thoroughly. It should be slightly thicker than pancake batter. Cook the dumplings in salted boiling water. Take the batter with a teaspoon and drop it into the boiling water. Once the dumplings float to the surface, cook for 5 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

Peel the potatoes and cut them into fairly large cubes. Distribute them into the pots. This amount of ingredients is calculated for 6 pots.
- 10
Step 10

Place the dumplings on top of the potatoes in the pots.
- 11
Step 11

Now distribute the meat and vegetables evenly among the pots. If there is little sauce from the meat, add a little water to the pots and season the dish with salt. Keep in mind that the liquid in the pots will boil and may overflow, so do not fill the water to the very top. Cover the pots with lids or foil and place them in the oven. Cook the goulash for about 30–35 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius, or until the potatoes are fully cooked.
