Beef goulash with mushrooms
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I don't know about others, but for me, on cold autumn evenings, only aromatic, delicious, and hearty food warms the soul and body. And this recipe is about just such a comforting, homey dish. I'll tell you about it. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, take a large onion, peel it, and slice it into half-rings or quarters.
- 2
Step 2

Rinse the beef thoroughly, then dry and cut the meat into small cubes (2.5 cm wide); season the beef with salt and ground pepper.
- 3
Step 3

Next, we pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it. Add the onion and fry until golden brown. Then add the meat, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer the beef over low heat for 40–50 minutes.

Step 4

While the meat is stewing, we peel the carrots and remove the seeds from the peppers. Slice the carrots into rounds, and cut the peppers into small cubes.
- 5
Step 5

Once the beef becomes tender, add the chopped vegetables to the pan. Simmer for about 10 minutes, then add the mushrooms (thawed), and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6
Step 6

Place sour cream on the mushrooms, sprinkle everything with dried herbs, and mix.

Step 7

Now cover the pan with a lid and simmer the stew over low heat for 20 minutes. Then turn off the heat and sprinkle the finished dish with chopped fresh herbs. Enjoy your meal!
