
Pear in chocolate
Description
The recipe for chocolate-covered pears will delight any sweet lover. Plus, this dessert isn't overly sweet at all! Especially if you sprinkle the pears with mint liqueur before serving and enjoy them with a good dry wine... It's simply delicious! :)

Step 1

Wash the pears and carefully peel them, leaving the stems intact.

Bring water to a boil, dissolve sugar in it, add cinnamon and cloves, then place the pears in the liquid. Cook until done — about 15-20 minutes.

Turn off the heat, let the pears cool and soak in the syrup. After that, remove the pears from the pot.

Separate the yolk from the white.

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, add a couple of tablespoons of the syrup in which the pears were cooked, butter, and beaten egg yolk. This will result in a very delicate chocolate cream that will set more slowly than pure chocolate. Yum-yum!... :)

Place pears on plates, pour over chocolate cream, and if desired, serve with scoops of ice cream.
