Description

The recipe won't take much time. This wonderful drink got its name from the nickname of British Vice Admiral Edward Vernon, who was called "Old Grog." In the past, sailors were given a daily rum ration (about 280 grams), which naturally led to drunkenness and disorder. However, since drinking rum was believed to help sailors avoid scurvy and other diseases, it was decided to continue giving them rum, but diluted. Thus, the recipe for rum grog was born. Originally, rum was mixed simply with water and lemon juice, but in the modern version, tea, honey, and spices are also used, giving the drink a pleasant taste and an incredibly appealing aroma. So when you want to warm up on a cold winter evening, just prepare rum grog at home, and you'll understand how amazing this drink truly is. Serve it chilled.
