2. Finely chop the removed stems. Also dice the onion and spinach into small cubes (frozen spinach may also be used).

3. Place a small piece of butter in a skillet and melt it. Add the spinach and sauté briefly. Then add the onion and chopped mushrooms. Season lightly with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Fill the mushroom cap with a small amount of filling. Sprinkle with a pinch of breadcrumbs to make a more appetizing crust. Grate the cheese on a fine grater and add on top. Mushrooms baked in foil at home can also be served with a sauce—for example, garlic sauce.
