Mushroom cutlets
Description
This recipe won't take much time. These mushroom patties, when I first made them at home, amazed me with their aroma, juiciness, and uniqueness—they are essentially patties with a surprise, as they look just like ordinary minced meat patties, but no, your family is in for a pleasant surprise! How to make mushroom patties: 1. First, wash and peel the onion and mushrooms, if necessary. Finely chop them in a blender or simply mince very finely by hand. 2. Place the mushrooms into a deep bowl. Sauté the onion in vegetable oil until golden brown, then add it to the mushrooms. 3. Add eggs, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly. 4. Stir in semolina, mix well, then leave the mixture aside for 15 minutes—this allows the semolina to swell. 5. Return, mix once again, and shape the patties. Pan-fry on both sides over medium heat until golden. Done! Personally, I'm old-fashioned—I like to coat these patties in breadcrumbs before frying. However, if you'd like a lighter, more diet-friendly version, you can use raw onion and cook the patties in a dry non-stick pan to minimize fat. Feel free to experiment! Serve hot.
