Creamy mushroom julienne
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I think each of us has prepared something similar before, because essentially this simple creamy mushroom julienne is just ordinary mushrooms that we stew and then bake in cream. In my opinion, it's such a brilliant yet simple combination that it's hard to find anything better. And since we'll top our mushrooms with sour cream and generously sprinkle them with grated cheese, the dish will turn out truly magical and, at the same time, very satisfying. So I suggest not putting off this creamy mushroom julienne recipe and treating your loved ones to a delicious dinner today. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, we'll rinse the mushrooms and slice them thinly. Place the mushrooms in a preheated frying pan, add a little water, and simmer them over low heat for 25–30 minutes.
- 2
Step 2

When the liquid has evaporated, add vegetable oil to the skillet and fry the mushrooms for another 15 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.
- 3
Step 3

Place the sautéed mushrooms into ramekins; you can also use other forms made of heat-resistant material.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the cream into the ramekins, leaving some space from the top, as the cream may overflow during baking.
- 5
Step 5

On top, the mushrooms should be coated with sour cream, about 1-1.5 tablespoons per ramekin.
- 6
Step 6

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and heap it generously over the mushrooms. Don't skimp on the cheese—the more you use, the tastier the julienne will be.
- 7
Step 7

Place the ramekins in a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake the dish for 15 minutes. Once the cheese has melted, turn off the heat and serve the julienne immediately. Enjoy your meal!
