
Baked mushroom casserole in the oven

Homemade baked treat for tea. Mushroom lovers will surely enjoy this delicious mushroom casserole. When served warm, it's tender and soft; once completely cooled, it becomes more firm. It can also be served as a cold appetizer. The recipe for baking this mushroom casserole in the oven is quite simple. Instead of cottage cheese, you can use processed or cream cheese (such as "Philadelphia"). Try different variations and find your favorite taste. Good luck and enjoy your delicious dish! Any mushrooms will work for our dish—fresh or frozen. In my case, for example, the latter. Take the mushrooms out of the freezer and let them thaw.

Then we finely chop them.

Peel the onion. Cut the onion into cubes, and slice the leek into thin rings.

Sauté the onion in vegetable oil for about 3 minutes.

Add mushrooms to the pan, season with salt and pepper. If the mushrooms were previously boiled, fry them for 5-6 minutes.

Mix the eggs, cream, and cream cheese. Beat with a mixer for about a minute.

Add the cooled mushrooms and finely chopped herbs to the resulting mixture. Mix well.

Grease a regular baking pan with vegetable oil. Do not grease this pan (for baking bread). Place the mushroom mixture into it.

And bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 50 minutes. Then let the casserole cool, remove it from the mold, and serve.
