Mushroom sauce for buckwheat
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Mushrooms with sour cream and tomato paste (in our case, ketchup) is already a nearly classic combination. To prepare the mushroom gravy for buckwheat, we will need fresh mushrooms—you can use regular button mushrooms or fresh wild mushrooms. The finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

Grate the carrot on a grater or finely chop it. Cut the onion into cubes. Heat a frying pan, add vegetable oil (you can use olive oil), and sauté the vegetables.

Step 2

When the vegetables are browned and become soft, add the mushrooms, cut into small pieces, to the pan.

Step 3

Fry the mushrooms almost until cooked. Then add sour cream and ketchup to the pan. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes.

Step 4

Then pour in a glass of water, add the flour, and cook, stirring, until thickened.

Step 5

When the sauce becomes thick enough, you can turn off the heat and add the sauce to the buckwheat.
