
Fried Bread with Tomatoes, Cheese, and Garlic

Place the bread pieces on a dry baking sheet and put a small piece of butter on each one. Put the baking sheet with the bread in an oven preheated to 220 degrees for five minutes, so the butter melts and the bread dries out slightly.

Peel the garlic. Grate any type of hard cheese on a coarse grater. Wash the tomatoes, pat them dry, and slice them into moderately thin rounds.

Remove the bread from the oven and spread a layer of grated cheese on top. Grate the garlic on a fine grater or pass it through a press. Spread the garlic evenly over the cheese.
