Description

Perfect for the table and with drinks. The traditional hearty beer snack is, of course, croutons. They can be made from both wheat and rye bread. In my opinion, the tastiest are rye ones. Rye bread has a distinctive flavor and aroma that only intensifies when fried. Tasty, crispy rye beer croutons can be prepared in various ways. The simplest recipe for rye beer croutons is to fry them in a skillet. Here goes. Serve with herbs and sauce.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

For croutons, use stale bread and slice it into pieces no thinner than 1 cm. Cut each slice diagonally, or however you prefer.

  2. 2

    Step 2

Peel the garlic and slice 1 clove into thin slices.

  3. 3

    Step 3

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and add sliced garlic. Cook until the garlic is golden brown. Immediately remove the garlic from the oil.

  4. 4

    Step 4

Well, now we start frying the bread slices in oil on both sides until they reach your desired level of doneness. Set the stove heat to slightly above medium. The most important thing is not to get distracted while frying. The toasts tend to burn.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Rub the cooled croutons with garlic cloves and sprinkle with salt on both sides.

  6. 6

    Step 6

Enjoy your beer and fried bread bites, and good heartfelt company!
