Description

Welsh-style croutons are made from a fresh French baguette, so they turn out especially crisp and appetizing. These croutons go well with strong black coffee (unsweetened) and green tea. Serve warm or chilled. Ideal with tea.

    First, prepare all the ingredients we need.

    First, cut the croutons to a thickness of 1–1.5 cm, arrange them on a baking sheet and put them in the oven at 180 degrees to brown lightly. Bake for 2 minutes on each side.

    Grate the cheese on a medium or coarse grater.

    Whisk the eggs with a whisk in a separate bowl.

    Put a saucepan on low heat. On the bottom of the saucepan place pieces of butter, then add grated cheese, a spoonful of mustard, and pepper.
