
Buckwheat with carrots and onions
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Preparing a side dish for daily dinner or lunch depends on your imagination and the ingredients available in your fridge. Even the most ordinary porridge can become delicious and nutritious. Buckwheat is a common staple on our tables, rich in vitamins and beneficial nutrients. This side dish goes well with fish, meat, vegetables, or sauce. The sautéed carrots and onions will give the plain porridge a rich flavor. Serve hot.

1. Peel the onion and wash it in cold water, then cut into small cubes. Peel and wash the carrot, grate finely on a coarse grater. Place a frying pan over the heat, pour in sunflower oil and heat. Add the onion and carrot, along with butter, and sauté until soft.

2. Rinse the buckwheat thoroughly and wash it, then cover with water and let it soak for 10-15 minutes.

3. Add the grain to the sautéed vegetables, pour in water to cover the grain by two fingers, season with salt and pepper. Cover with a lid and cook over low heat for 20-25 minutes.
