
Buckwheat with minced chicken, merchant-style
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Finely chop the peeled onion and carrot. Rinse the buckwheat. Sauté the onion and carrot in a frying pan. Then add the minced meat and cook together. Next, add the buckwheat, ketchup, and pour in water. Cook for 35–40 minutes, covered. Serve hot.

1. Prepare the ingredients. Peel the onion, carrots, and garlic. Sort and thoroughly rinse the buckwheat.

2. Chop the onion (not coarsely), grate the carrot on a coarse vegetable grater.

3. Heat sunflower oil and first sauté the onion, then add the carrots and sauté a bit longer. Push the vegetables aside with a spatula and place the ground chicken in the center. Continuously stir and break it apart with the spatula, cooking for a short time. Once the meat turns white, mix it together with the onion and carrots, add salt and spices. Also add garlic grated on a fine vegetable grater. Sauté for a few more minutes (about 5–7).

4. Now add the washed buckwheat and ketchup to the same pan. Add salt, spices, mix thoroughly, and sauté slightly.

5. Boil the kettle and pour 4 cups of hot water into the pan. Use the same cup you used to measure the buckwheat. Add salt if needed. Cover with a lid, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and leave the pan undisturbed for 35–40 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the buckwheat with chicken mince rest for 5 minutes to finish cooking. That's it, the dish is ready.
