Buckwheat with mushrooms "Kupecheski"
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. This is probably the only way of cooking buckwheat that my family truly enjoys and that always turns out delicious. I wouldn't say it's an expensive dish—there's only a small amount of meat and mushrooms, but combined with buckwheat, it becomes very nutritious and filling. This dish can easily serve a large family, and everyone will be satisfied. The dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel and wash the vegetables and mushrooms.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the meat into small pieces.
- 3
Step 3

Finely chop the onion. You can increase or decrease the amount of onion according to your taste.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the carrots into thin strips.
- 5
Step 5

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, add the meat, and fry for 5-7 minutes until lightly seared.
- 6
Step 6

Then add the onion and carrot, mix and fry over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Add the mushrooms, cut into medium pieces, to the pan last.
- 8
Step 8

Fry the contents of the pan, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms become tender. Meanwhile, add salt, pepper, and paprika. The pan already contains an incredibly delicious dish that can be served with any side, but we will continue cooking.
- 9
Step 9

Pour the buckwheat into the frying pan.
- 10
Step 10

Pour water so that it covers the contents of the pan by about 1.5–2 cm. You can mix the buckwheat with the meat and mushrooms, or leave it un-mixed. I prefer it mixed.
- 11
Step 11

Cook the dish under a lid until the buckwheat is done (approximately 12-20 minutes).
- 12
Step 12

The dish is ready! Serve hot.
