
Sailor-style buckwheat
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Buckwheat is rich in beneficial nutrients, helps the body fight diseases and stay healthy. Prepare the necessary ingredients. Sort the grain, rinse it in cold water, and drain in a colander.

Pour cold water over the buckwheat; the grain-to-water ratio should always be 1:2. Add salt and bring to a boil over high heat.

Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Do not stir the grain or lift the lid until the buckwheat is fully cooked.

While the grain is boiling, prepare the filling. Grind the meat in a meat grinder, season with salt and pepper to taste, and mix well. Heat oil in a skillet and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.

Add the ground meat and mix. Fry until a golden crust forms, stirring with a spatula.

Add the buckwheat, stir, and cook over low heat for 2-3 minutes.
