
Buckwheat a la Boyar
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I don't know why this buckwheat is called "boyar-style," but the name fits: a hearty and tasty dish with marinated mushrooms and smoked meats truly deserves to be a nobleman's meal. To prepare boyar-style buckwheat, I use marinated mushrooms, smoked sausage (or smoked chicken), and a couple of eggs. See the recipe below. The finished dish can be served at the table.

Chop the onion into small cubes.

Smoked meats — cut into medium-sized cubes.

Rinse the marinated mushrooms to remove excess liquid.

First, sauté the onion with smoked meat, then add the mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes.

Boil the eggs hard and grate them on a grater.

Cook the buckwheat.

Wash the herbs (e.g., dill).

Mix the boiled buckwheat with sautéed mushrooms and smoked meats, and heat for a couple more minutes in the pan. Garnish the ready "boyar-style" buckwheat with fresh herbs.
