Buckwheat side dish in a multicooker

60 min4 serv.19 февр. 2026 г.

Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. After all, porridge cooked in a multicooker turns out exceptional—tender, aromatic, just like in childhood, made by grandma. Therefore, it's simply illogical to prepare buckwheat as a side dish any other way if your kitchen has a multicooker. The only downside is that it will take slightly longer than cooking on the stovetop. But this can also be seen as an advantage—you'll have time to attend to other tasks. 1. Sort the buckwheat, rinse it under clean water until the water runs clear, then drain and let it dry slightly. 2. Turn on the multicooker and select the "Baking" or "Sautéing" mode. 3. Melt the butter in the multicooker bowl and add the buckwheat. Sauté, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. You can skip this step, but it takes only a little extra time and makes the porridge much more aromatic. 4. Pour in water or broth, add salt and sugar, then mix well. 5. Switch to the "Buckwheat" program and cook until the multicooker turns off automatically. Three to five minutes before cooking finishes, add spices and stir once more. 6. Before serving, sprinkle the buckwheat with finely chopped fresh herbs. The buckwheat will turn out especially delicious if you use high-quality butter without vegetable additives—this will give the porridge a truly rich fragrance with a subtle creamy note. This side dish is suitable for everyday meals as well as family dinners—give it a try. Serve the finished dish warm.
