Beef Tongue in the Oven
Description
Although beef tongue is considered a delicacy and is most often served on holidays (and even then only at big ones), it is very simple to prepare. Even simply boiled beef tongue with mayonnaise is a delicious restaurant-quality dish. But today I suggest slightly deviating from tradition and baking beef tongue in the oven. It is only a little more work, but the result will delight you. Let's get started. It can be served warm or chilled.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all necessary ingredients. Pre-boil the beef tongue until half-cooked (30 minutes) and, while it is still hot, remove the skin from it.
- 2
Step 2

Place the tongue in a deep bowl, add salt and spices to taste, and squeeze in a few cloves of garlic. Pour soy sauce over it and let it marinate for 30–60 minutes.

Step 3

Place the tongue together with the marinade on a sheet of foil. Wrap it tightly and put it in the oven for 1 hour.

Step 4

10 minutes before it's done, unwrap the foil so the tongue browns on top. The aroma will be simply extraordinary!

Step 5

Cool the cooked tongue and slice it into thin slices. Serve on a flat plate, garnished with herbs. Enjoy!
