
Beef patties with onions
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Serve beef patties well with mashed potatoes and green peas as a side dish. If desired, you can add sliced mushrooms together with the onion and continue preparing the sauce according to the recipe. Serve hot.

1. Mix all the ingredients for the patties in a large bowl and knead until a uniform consistency is achieved.

2. With your hands, shape the resulting mixture into 4-6 oval patties and form them to resemble steaks.

3. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet. Fry the patties until cooked through and browned on both sides. Transfer the patties to a plate and drain excess oil from the skillet.

4. Reduce the heat to medium and add thinly sliced onion. Stir and cook for several minutes until golden brown, until the onion becomes soft.

5. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and spices. Mix well and continue cooking.

6. Dissolve the cornstarch in a small amount of meat broth and add it to the sauce. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly. Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Add more broth if necessary.
