
Beef in red wine
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Beef in red wine delights with its wonderful flavor! The meat melts in your mouth, while the red wine evaporates, leaving a pleasant grape aftertaste. The dish takes two hours to prepare, but beef can't be cooked any faster. This dish is perfect both for a festive table and for a romantic dinner. After all, red is the color of passion. Serve hot.

1. Cut the beef into small pieces.

2. Peel the onion and slice into rings. Peel the garlic and mince with a knife.

3. Place half of the indicated amount of butter in a saucepan, heat it, and sear the beef pieces on all sides for several minutes. Do not put all the meat into the saucepan at once; instead, add it in batches. Add more butter if necessary. Season each batch with salt and pepper.

4. Remove the browned meat from the pot and place it on a plate. Reduce the heat to medium and sauté the onion and garlic in the skillet. Add rosemary (dried or fresh) and mix well. Cook for several minutes, stirring, until the onion turns golden-brown.

5. Add tomato paste to the pot, mix with the onion, and sauté for a minute or two. Don't worry if the spices stick to the bottom of the pot.

6. Pour wine and broth into the pot, heat and, stirring with a wooden spatula, scrape off any bits stuck to the bottom. Then add the meat and mix well. Cover with a lid and simmer over medium-low heat for an hour.

7. After an hour, the meat should be ready. Remove it from the pot, then add another cup of wine to the pot. Simmer the sauce until the liquid is reduced by half.

8. Reduce the heat to low and add the remaining butter. Cook until the butter is completely melted.
