
Beef stewed in a cauldron
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Choose meat with small layers of fat to keep it juicy. Cook the meat over the lowest heat so it absorbs all the juices and flavors. Serve hot.

1. Wash the meat and pat it dry with paper towels. Rub the meat with salt, pepper, and a mixture of Italian herbs.

2. Heat a small cauldron with vegetable oil, add the meat and fry for several minutes on each side.

3. Transfer the meat to a plate. Slice the onion into half-rings and sauté it in a heated cauldron for about 5–7 minutes. Add minced garlic and coarsely chopped carrots.

4. Place the fried meat on top of the vegetables, add wine and bay leaf.

5. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to the minimum, cover the pot with a lid, and simmer for about 3.5–4.5 hours.

6. Cut the cooked meat into pieces (easily done with a regular fork) and serve with vegetables.
