
Beef stewed with soy sauce
Description
The cooked beef can be chopped and placed on a fresh bun, then topped with the sauce left over from cooking.

1. Slice the onion into pieces, peel the garlic cloves. Heat the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Fry the onion for a few minutes until lightly browned.

2. Place the beef on top of the onions. Add garlic cloves, soy sauce, sherry, salt, water, rosemary, thyme, and other spices to your taste. Cover the pot with a lid and simmer over low heat for 6 hours, until the beef is tender and the meat easily separates from the bones.

3. If the meat is not tender yet, place the beef in the oven for 30 minutes. Using two forks, separate the meat from the bones and chop finely.

4. Serve immediately or continue simmering over low heat for 30 minutes to 1 hour. The meat can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a day. Remove the fat from the surface before reheating.

5. Serve the beef with toasted white bread. If desired, sprinkle the sandwiches with cheese and bake in the oven.
