Beef stewed in pieces
Description
One of my favorite dishes is beef stewed in large pieces using this recipe. This beef can be served both as a hot dish and as a cold appetizer (if you let the meat cool and then slice it). The beef turns out incredibly tender. Give it a try—this recipe is truly excellent.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Stuff a piece of beef with pieces of pork fat.
- 2
Step 2

In a saucepan, melt the butter and sear the piece of beef until a light crust forms on all sides.
- 3
Step 3

When the meat is browned, add the coarsely chopped vegetables (onion, carrot, celery, and tomatoes), tomato paste, and spices to the pot. Pour in the wine and bring to a boil.
- 4
Step 4

Add the broth. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 5-6 hours. If the liquid evaporates, add a little more broth or water.
- 5
Step 5

Remove the cooked piece of beef from the pot, blend the remaining mixture with a blender, and serve it as a sauce.
