
Beef with cranberries in the oven

When choosing beef, opt for tenderloin. When preparing the meat, remove all possible tendons and membranes. Following this recipe, you'll end up with soft, tender meat with a slight tanginess.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

In a saucepan, heat the butter together with the vegetable oil.

Add the cranberries. Continue heating over heat slightly below medium.

As soon as the mixture begins to boil, mash the cranberries without removing from the heat. Be careful—the sauce splatters a lot! Keep on the heat for a couple of minutes, then remove from the stove.

Wash the beef. Dry with a paper towel. Cut into pieces measuring 2 by 2.5 cm, but no more than 3 cm. Transfer to a heatproof dish. Season with salt to taste and add pepper. Mix and press down firmly with your palm.

Pour the beef with the prepared cranberry-butter sauce. Season with salt to taste. Add bay leaf. Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
