Beef with potatoes
Description
One of the staple dishes in our family is beef with potatoes. If prepared properly, this dish turns out very delicious despite the simplicity of the ingredients. Over the years, I've developed the perfect recipe for beef with potatoes, and I'm happy to share it with you :) I hope you'll enjoy it.

Heat olive oil in a skillet and melt butter in it. Sauté onion and bay leaf for a couple of minutes, then add beef and cook over medium heat, stirring, until the meat is browned on all sides.

When the meat develops a light crust on all sides, pour in the broth and simmer for 20 minutes over medium heat, uncovered.

Then add diced potatoes and tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper, and simmer for another 40 minutes. If the water evaporates, add more as needed.

After 40 minutes, the beef will be perfectly tender, and the potatoes will be fully cooked. It's ready to serve.
