Beef with mushrooms in a pot
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Overall, this method of preparing beef with mushrooms in a casserole dish is quite traditional. The only thing that may vary is the proportions; otherwise, it's a standard set of ingredients: beef, mushrooms, potatoes, onion, carrot, and, of course, sour cream, which can be substituted with cream or milk if desired. It seems like such simple ingredients, but when combined and cooked in a casserole dish, they produce an amazing result. The beef becomes incredibly tender thanks to the sour cream, while the mushrooms and vegetables keep the dish from being dry. The aroma is simply indescribable. This little miracle is something you can easily prepare yourself, so let's get started. I'll show you how to make beef with mushrooms in a casserole dish. Serve hot.
Instructions

Step 1

Cut the pork fat into cubes and fry in a hot skillet until it renders its fat. You can, in principle, cook with regular vegetable oil, but the pork fat gives the dish a special flavor and aroma.

Step 2

Add the beef cut into medium pieces and sear on all sides for several minutes. Then add a little sugar, which will act as a glaze.
- 3
Step 3

Continue frying until a crispy crust forms on the meat.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the potatoes, carrots, and mushrooms into cubes, mix them, and place into baking pots. Don't forget to add a little salt.
- 5
Step 5

The next layer is fried meat.

Step 6

Finally, place the onion sliced into half-rings on top. Then add any spices to your taste. I usually use a mix of ground peppers, chopped garlic, whole peppercorns, and paprika. Next, add sour cream previously mixed with a small amount of water. The liquid should fill the casserole dish halfway. Now cover the dishes with lids and place them in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 2.5 hours. Some people cook it for 3 hours, but I find that 2.5 hours is enough for the meat to be fully cooked.

Step 7

While we were busy with our tasks, the meat has finished cooking, so now we can taste it. Let's take it out of the oven, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve.
