Beef with buckwheat in a pot
Description
This recipe won't take much time. It's perfect for those who truly love this delicious and nutritious grain—beef with buckwheat cooked in a pot. Personally, I prepare buckwheat at least twice a week, as I believe it should definitely be part of everyone's diet. But this recipe is something special! The meat turns out incredibly tender and soft, while the porridge becomes aromatic, absorbing all the flavors of the ingredients during cooking in the pot. Besides, preparing this dish is quite easy. Honestly, it's a real gem for lovers of authentic home cooking, and now I'm happy to share with you how to make delicious and simple beef with buckwheat in a pot. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Cut the beef into medium pieces about 3 centimeters wide.
- 2
Step 2

Now pour vegetable oil into a pan and fry the meat until a golden crust forms.
- 3
Step 3

Place the fried meat into the pots (the ingredients are calculated for 3 pots).
- 4
Step 4

Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings, then place it on top of the meat.
- 5
Step 5

Then slice the carrots into rounds and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
- 6
Step 6

Place the carrots in the pot and salt them. You can salt each layer, but I simply add salt at the end.
- 7
Step 7

Place a whole garlic clove, a bay leaf, and a few peppercorns. Add spices to taste (I use only ground black pepper) and pour in water until the liquid fills only 2/3 of the pot.
- 8
Step 8

Now the pots can be covered with lids and placed in the oven. Bake at 220 degrees for 1 hour.
- 9
Step 9

When the hour is almost up, we sort and rinse the buckwheat.
- 10
Step 10

Remove the pots from the oven and add 4 spoons of buckwheat to each. Then pour boiling water into each pot, making sure it completely covers the buckwheat. Cover the pots with lids again and place them back in the oven for another 10 minutes. Then turn off the heat, but do not remove the pots—let them sit for about 20 minutes so that all the ingredients can fully absorb each other's juices and flavors.
