Beef with prunes in a pot
Description
If we ignore the fact that we'll be using beer here, this could be considered a classic recipe for beef with prunes cooked in a pot. But progress, as they say, doesn't stand still, and it was decided to add something new to this dish—hence the beer. And it fits perfectly: thanks to the beer, the meat becomes so tender and soft that it simply melts in your mouth. Additionally, the beer imparts a very pleasant and unusual bread-like aroma to the entire dish. Overall, the meat turns out excellent—five plus. But you'd better try it yourself. Meanwhile, I'll tell you how to prepare my version of beef with prunes in a pot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, chop the onion and carrot into small cubes. Rinse the prunes and cut them into approximately 4 pieces each.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the beef into cubes with sides of about 2-3 centimeters. Then heat butter in a frying pan and sear the meat until golden brown. Transfer the meat to a separate dish and sauté the onion in the same pan until translucent.
- 3
Step 3

Place the meat at the bottom of the pots, sprinkle with salt and spices, and mix well.
- 4
Step 4

The next layer is fried onion.
- 5
Step 5

Then we place the sliced carrots and prunes.
- 6
Step 6

Dilute the tomato paste in half a liter of water and pour the mixture into the pots.

Step 7

We also pour beer into the pots, then cover them with lids and place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees. Cook for one to one and a half hours, depending on how tender your meat was. Serve the cooked beef on plates with any side dish, pouring the sauce from the pot over it.
