
Moroccan-style beef
Description
You can use a ready-made spice blend, but I recommend finding each spice separately. These are available in large supermarkets or can be found at the market. This dish will drive you crazy with its aromas, and after cooking, with its unique taste.

1. Wash the meat, pat it dry with paper towels, and season it on all sides with salt and black pepper. Mix all the spices with the minced garlic cloves. Coarsely chop the onion and carrots.

2. Heat a pot with olive oil, add the meat and sear on all sides until golden brown. Arrange the onion and carrot around the meat.

3. Pour the meat with water and pomegranate juice, add bay leaf and spice mix, cover with a lid. Place the meat in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for 2.5 hours.

4. Remove the cooked meat from the pot, cover it with foil, and strain the resulting sauce. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste, and add lemon juice. Prepare the couscous, then shred the meat into fibers. Serve the meat with couscous, sauce, and garnish with fresh herbs.
