Italian-style beef
Description
Beef Italian-style should be cooked in olive oil with good Italian wine (during cooking, you must pour yourself a glass to enjoy). It is best served with polenta. Cinnamon and allspice add their own touch to this meat dish, creating a unique flavor bouquet. The meat turns out tender, while bell peppers and tomatoes provide a pleasant tang. Absolutely delicious!
Instructions

Step 1

1. Peel the onion and garlic. Cut the onion into small cubes, the garlic into slices.
- 2
Step 2

2. Wash the parsley and chop it finely. Mix with rosemary.
- 3
Step 3

3. Cut the meat into pieces suitable for goulash. Pour vegetable (olive) oil into a pot, heat to medium temperature, and brown the meat. It's better to fry the meat in batches rather than all at once.
- 4
Step 4

4. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried beef to a separate plate.
- 5
Step 5

5. In the skillet where the beef was fried, sauté the chopped onion, garlic, and minced parsley. Cook until the onion becomes soft.
- 6
Step 6

6. Add cinnamon, cloves, and allspice. Mix well to combine the spices. Then add the bay leaf to the pot.
- 7
Step 7

7. Pour a glass of wine into the pot. Stir with a spatula. Scrape the bottom of the pot to loosen any stuck spices.
- 8
Step 8

8. When the wine has simmered with the other ingredients for several minutes and the alcohol has cooked off, add the tomatoes and broth. Return the beef to the pot. There should be enough liquid to cover everything completely. Crush the tomatoes with a spoon or a potato masher directly in the pot.
- 9
Step 9

9. While the meat is stewing, wash and slice the bell pepper into strips.
- 10
Step 10
