Beef on the Bone
Description
Appetizing beef on the bone is prepared as follows: prepare a marinade for the ribs, coat the ribs with it, and leave them in the refrigerator for several hours. Then wrap them in foil and bake in the oven for 3 hours. About an hour before they are done, prepare the sauce and brush it over the ribs. Finally, put them under the grill to form a crispy crust. Let cool slightly before serving. A vegetable salad works well as a side dish; also set barbecue sauce on the table. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Remove the membrane from the ribs. This step is essential; otherwise it will turn into a tough, inedible crust on the finished ribs.
- 2
Step 2

Prepare a spice mixture for marinating. To do this, mix 3 tablespoons of salt, 2 tablespoons of ground chili pepper, 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of dried thyme, and a couple of cloves of chopped garlic. Rub the ribs with this mixture, wrap in plastic wrap, and place in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 5-6 hours.
- 3
Step 3

Wrap the ribs carefully in several layers of foil. Preheat the oven to 120 degrees.
- 4
Step 4

Place the foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and cook for 3 hours.
- 5
Step 5

Check the ribs for doneness. The meat should come away from the bone easily. If it still feels slightly tough, leave the dish in the oven for another 30 minutes, then check again.

Step 6

For the final stage, you will need to prepare a sauce. In a saucepan, mix one and a half cups of mild ketchup, half a cup of brown sugar, 3 cloves of minced garlic, 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, and half a teaspoon of salt. Bring the sauce to a boil and simmer over low heat, stirring, until the sugar has completely dissolved. Uncover the foil on the ribs and generously brush the top with the prepared sauce.

Step 7

And place the baking sheet with the ribs under the broiler in the oven for 10 minutes until a crispy crust forms.
