
Hot Pan Sandwich
Description
A tasty appetizer for any gathering. The specified amount of ingredients makes four servings (two sandwiches each) of hot skillet sandwiches. The sandwiches are meat-free but filling thanks to the cheese. These hot skillet sandwiches are perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea, as well as a light evening snack. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

1. Prepare the ingredients for hot sandwiches. Wash the tomatoes, remove the cores, and slice into rounds. Slice the mozzarella into thin slices as well. Wash the basil and pat dry.

2. Brush the sliced bread pieces with olive oil using a pastry brush. Heat a thin skillet.

3. Place a piece of white bread on the skillet. On the bread, put a piece of Provolone cheese (if you found it and are using it), then a slice of tomato and a couple of basil leaves.

4. Top with mozzarella.

5. Cover the mozzarella with another slice of bread. Brush the top with a brush dipped in olive oil. Press the bread slices together with a spatula and fry our sandwich on both sides.

6. The hot skillet sandwich will be ready when the cheese has melted and the bread is crispy and golden brown.
