Description
Homemade pastries for tea. A distinctive feature of the city loaf is considered to be a longitudinal cut. It is made before baking, with a sharp knife or razor blade. It is also important to take into account that the dough needs to be kneaded for quite a long time so that it is soft and pliable.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

In a bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.

Pour in warm water and add vegetable oil.

Start mixing with a spoon, then knead with your hands. Knead for 10 minutes. Lifting the dough above the table and striking it against the surface.

Round the kneaded dough into a ball. Cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1 hour.

After this time, the dough will have noticeably increased in size. Punch it down.
